"You are not your course load."

You are not your IQ. You are not your SAT score. You are not a number.

You are not the school you go to, the school you just got admitted to, or the one you graduated from. You are not the courses you are taking. Your major is not your destiny.

You are not “pre-med”, you’re a person. A living, breathing, autonomous person. Who can grow and change and learn and lead. 

Poor grades don’t mean you are incompetent—you just have more to learn. Majoring in art or English doesn’t mean you will fail in life. And choosing to study something you love over something practical won’t prevent you from getting your dream job—you don’t need to study X to become X (unless it is legally required).

Never confuse your track or your unit load or your GPA with your identity. You are much more than a mere snapshot in time.
